The cinema was at the airfield of Tan Son Nhut
taken over by the British from the Japanese forces 1945/6
There was one 16mm Japanese projector which was later exchanged for two GB machines
Jap POW's were recruited to build the hall, stage and projection room from timber, bamboo and grass reed
