Movieland is a three screen cinema situated at Hornby Mall in the city of
Christchurch in the South Island
I think it opened in 1991, and was the first multi-plex in this city {how times have changed}
I took over as a full time projectionist in 2000
My background is Aircraft Engineering but have always had an interest in films
The cinema runs from 9am to about 11.30pm 7 days a week, and we allow about
15 minutes between each session
We use the five deck platters, and this helps when we run up to 9 different features in one day
The biggest danger in this set up in screening the wrong film something we have to be very careful not to do
