Screen 1, the centre ceiling panel (above the projection portholes) used to be winched open for the spot room to operate above the projection room, which housed four carbon arc follow spotlights for stage shows
Imagine the huge steep degree rake to the original stage, as was the projection room during the Carlton single screen days
